Effect to switch reality

In our game it is possible to switch to another reality. It took us a few days to agree on what it would look like visually. In the end, we chose the bloom effect. You can take a look.
We tried a lot of other effects and shaders. One of them was the "water distortion" effect, but we think it might annoy players if played for a long time. Another suggestion was to warp the environment - "radial distortion" (inspired from Legacy of Kain), but it didn't look as nice as we expected. The last idea was a vignette, not unlike the "sense force" from Jedi Knight. We'll keep that one in reserve for now. It's likely to be different in the end, but we know which direction to go.
